“It means the car’s airbag computer – the SDM – sent a small current through the driver’s airbag loop. It expects a precise resistance, about 2 to 3 ohms. It saw something much higher. An open circuit. A broken wire. A loose connector.”

Over time, the tactile micro-switches inside the door panel wear out. Moisture, coffee spills, or simple fatigue can cause the lock button to remain in a "pressed" state physically or electrically. This sends an invalid signal to the UCH, triggering the fault.

Warning lamps (ABS, Brake, or Battery) may flicker or stay on.
