Set in 1971, the story picks up two decades after the events of Gadar: Ek Prem Katha . Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) is living a peaceful life in India with his wife Sakeena (Ameesha Patel) and son Jeete (Utkarsh Sharma). When Jeete gets into a fight with corrupt politicians, Tara sends him to the border. However, Jeete gets entangled in the Indo-Pak war and is captured in Pakistan.
