Released as an expansion to Sengoku Basara 2 , Heroes added fan-favorite playable characters like Katakura Kojuro, Azai Nagamasa, and Oichi. For Western fans, this title represents the peak of the "classic" Basara style. Because Capcom never officially localized the second entry (skipping from the first game, Devil Kings , straight to Sengoku Basara 3/Samurai Heroes ), the community took it upon themselves to bridge the gap.
