Before beginning a digital search, one must physically locate the number. On Maton acoustics, it is almost always located , stamped on the neck block (the visible wood joint where the neck meets the body). On solid-body electrics (like the MS500 or BB1200), it is typically found on the back of the headstock or the neck plate.
